Jordan Peele’s Get Out won Best Original Screenplay from the Writer’s Guild of America, taking home the big prize at the union’s annual awards. The other film awards went to Call Me By Your Name, which won the Best Adapted Screenplay, and Jane, which won Best Documentary Screenplay. (Someone’s gotta write all the narration after all.) On the TV side of things, it was a big night for The Handmaid’s Tale, which won both the Best Drama Series and Best New Series awards. The comedy awards went to Veep and Will & Grace. We’ll see what if anything this means for the Oscars in a few weeks, but in the meantime, here’s the full list of winners (results via Deadline):
