21 Savage is giving back in a big way. The altruistic rhymer is covering the funeral cost for T’Rhigi Diggs, a 3-year-old child who was killed during a drive-by shooting on Easter Sunday.

The funeral was held today (April 7) at the Israel Baptist Church in Atlanta and was attended by family and friends. According to WSB-TV, Savage saw the story of his death on Channel 2 Action News and wanted to help. “He didn’t want anybody stressing over arrangements for a funeral,” a source told People.

Diggs was shot in while sitting in the backseat of his mother's car at a Texaco gas station in Decatur, Ga. According to police, a car pulled up beside them and someone opened fire. Roshonda Craig, Digg’s mother, said had seen people in a Dodge Charger with paintball guns right before the real gunshot rang out.

“My baby was sleeping in the backseat when I saw the car come past,” Craig told WSB-TV. “I saw a paintball gun, but then I heard a real gun. When I heard the gunshot, my baby started crying. I didn’t know my baby was shot. I was thinking maybe he just woke up [and] the gunshot scared him.”

Police are investigating whether the shooter might have been provoked by the paintball guns and the child got caught in the cross-fire, among other possibilities, reports WSB-TV.

Fellow rapper 2 Chainz was also heartbroken by the tragic news of this young boy's death. He went on his Instagram page to pay tribute to Diggs and encourage people to stop the violence and increase the peace.

“This young king was killed inna drive by shooting yesterday in Decatur,” he wrote. “Frankly I’m just appalled man, this kid is around the same age as my son and my heart goes out to his family...we have to do better y’all."
