A Little Bonding
I've been meaning to share this story with you since the start of the week. While I was off last week I pulled Jake out of school early for a quick trip to Milwaukee.
Our friends from Tristates Night Out had a bus heading up to see the Bucks host the Bulls, and with Jacob's blossoming interest in sports I thought this would be a cheap and easy way to see a game.
While I usually dread long drives with Jake, we planned ahead and took plenty of activities with us, including our tablet.
After a good hour of playing games, Jacob realized it was more fun to draw on the frosty windows of the bus and spent a solid 30 minutes writing his name.
Milwaukee really is an easy drive and we arrived at the Bradley Center in about three hours.
Since mom wanted us to send a few photos from our adventure, I noticed the cheerleaders greeting fans at the door. The ladies were happy to oblige.
Little did I know, walking around with a five year old boy is like walking around with the world's cutest puppy... all the cheerleaders wanted a picture with him.
Mom was not really amused.
We finally got to our seats and settled in for a wild game. I love seeing the world through Jacob's eyes. Seeing things for the first time and his big smiles.
The Bucks pulled out a win and we had a blast.
If you want to make some fun memories, be sure to check the HUGE list of upcoming buses with TRISTATES NIGHT OUT.
