If you recognized Ally Brooke's love interest in her debut solo music video "Low Key," it's because he's Ariana Grande's ex-boyfriend, Ricky Alvarez.

The former Fifth Harmony singer recently dished on what it was like to work with him, telling Latina.com that he wasn't originally supposed to star in the video. "There was another dancer cast for the role in the video first but he had a scheduling conflict like two days before the shoot," Brooke revealed.

Luckily, Alvarez—who has years of experience as a backup dancer and might even be joining Grande on her Sweetener World Tour—was available for the job. Brooke explained that everything turned out perfectly despite the last-minute switch up and that Alvarez was an absolute pleasure to work with.

"He had to rush into rehearsals learning the dance moves, measured for wardrobe, and so many other things that happened so quickly. He turned out to be so amazing, not just in the video, but also as a person," she said. "He's so nice and, what I loved the most, was that he was so respectful. I knew I didn't want to do anything too crazy and he was respectful of that. He worked great with my other dancers, I'm really happy with how it all turned out."
