I've been hosting the Afternoon Show on Y105 for more than seven years! I have a beautiful wife, Claudia, and adorable daughter, Lydia. I've lived in Dubuque for over a decade and I absolutely love this city! I host Hawkeye games at Lot One on Saturdays in the fall, 'The Dating Game' at Skinny Maginny's one Tuesday a month and can be found pushing a stroller on walks along South Grandview from time-to-time. I'm a passionate Minnesota Vikings fan (and Twins, Wild and Wolves), but truly appreciate having a fun conversation with the adversary (Bears, Packers fans).

The Formula for the Perfect Snowman
I shared this on the air recently, but figured now would be an ideal time to put the info in blog form with the tomorrow's impending winter storm. At the time of this post, no schools have been delayed or cancelled for tomorrow, but IF you find yourself at home tomorrow and you're looking for something to do, you could do a lot worse than constructing the perfect snowman...
What’s a Caucus? Sounds Like Something You Need a Vaccine For
I'll only blog about politics to keep you informed. I promise. This Monday, February 1st is the Iowa Caucus. If you're not sure what a caucus is, the video above does a nice job explaining that. Check out the video and decide if it's something you'd want to participate in...
Dubuque Mattress Factory: Top-Notch Customer Service
My wife has been begging me for the last year (probably longer) to agree we need a new mattress. I've used every technique: changing the subject, highlighting the benefits of our 10-year old mattress (that was hard), explaining we have other priorities that we need to spend the money on first, etc...
I Hope You Had a Merry Christmas
It's been too long since my last blog post, but I wanted to take a moment and wish you and yours happy holidays and I hope your Christmas was great!
I went back to my hometown in Minnesota and got to catch up with extended family members I don't see as often as I'd like and opened presents from Santa with my 10 month-old daughter for the first time...
The Annual Xmas Tree Xtraction
Since I was a little kid, my parents, sister and I would go to a tree farm in my hometown of Rochester, MN and cut down our family's Christmas tree. Over the years, we've experienced a lot: tree trunks that can't fit in the stand, tree falling over post-decoration, heated family discussions over which tree should be selected (you'll take heated anything), etc...
Iowa Football Fan? You Should Watch This
The Iowa Hawkeyes play Michigan State Saturday night in the Big Ten Championship Game at 7 p.m. on FOX. If you're an Iowa fan, you certainly don't need a hype video to get you pumped up for the game...but you should probably watch it anyway...
Well, This Was a First
Saturday evening, I met a few friends out for dinner/drinks while I was back in my hometown in Minnesota for Thanksgiving. We ended up at a bar around 11 p.m. playing electronic pull tabs (Minnesota's bar-friendly form of gambling).
I've never won money from anything other than Texas Hold 'Em, so I had little interest in playing pull tabs, but both of my friends wanted to throw $20 each into a mac
‘The Dating Game’ Returns to Skinny Maginny’s Tonight
Tonight is the one-year anniversary of 'The Dating Game' at Skinny Maginny's at 123 Main Street in downtown Dubuque!
Speaking of anniversaries, a couple who met through TDG will, hopefully, be celebrating many of those as they're now engaged...
The Shocking-Yet-Not-So-Shocking Charlie Sheen News
It's expected (and we're reporting) that actor Charlie Sheen is going to announce to the world that he is HIV positive Tuesday morning on the 'Today' show with Matt Lauer. What's unclear is how long ago he was diagnosed and what kind of lifestyle he's led since he knew he was infected...
Mindframe Theaters; Best Place to Watch a Movie
The Tri-State area has something truly unique in 2015: a LOCALLY OWNED movie theater! Seriously, every movie theater I see these days is AMC this, Regal or Carmike that.
Mindframe Theaters might not have the glitzy lobby or 100 different theaters, but they're always showing the latest/greatest movies and if they have what you want to see, you should probably head to Mindframe off JFK behind the
