With February coming to a close (it blew by, didn't it?) and March walking in, we are just much closer to springtime, and all that comes with it. This week's edition of XXL's best songs has it all: solo tracks from group members, standout tracks from new names and more. DJ Khaled pulls together his famous friends Jay Z, Beyoncé and Future for a new single and Slim Jxmmi of Rae Sremmurd drops a strong solo track.

DJ Khaled's career has really taken off; he's a huge media personality, too. Taking it back to rap for his new single "Top Off," Khaled unites three of the biggest names in any genre: Future, Beyoncé and Jay-Z. Future mostly handles the hook, while Jay and B(!) exchange verses. Hov admits the expensive check that's been going around isn't actually his: "$91,000 for a wine bill/Keep it real with you, that was Juan's bill/My whole team ball/Everybody's a star but the team ball." Meanwhile, B shows love to Meek Mill and a legendary Atlanta event: "Top off the coupe and it look like Freaknik/In the hood, hollerin', 'Free Meek.'"

Slim Jxmmi is one-half of Rae Sremmurd, alongside his brother Swae Lee. The duo's forthcoming album will be in three sections: A solo Slim Jxmmi offering, solo Swae Lee project and typical Rae Sremmurd album. "Brxnks Truck" is Jxmmi's solo single, and his first time helming a song by himself. He absolutely delivers over the boisterous beat, and is as clever as he's ever been. Plus, "I'm friends with the jeweler, my diamonds like Shamu/She rubbin' the head like she applyin' shampoo/Pretty face, she got a lil' ass, too," is too smooth.

Hoodrich Pablo Juan has been making noise in and outside of Atlanta for a little while now, and he chose to experiment on his latest EP, The Matrix. Every song on the EP is produced by French DJ Brodinski, who is known for his dark and brooding beats. "Thug Life," which also features Lil Dude, is one of the strongest songs on The Matrix. Pablo Juan dances all over it, spitting lines like, "Too many drugs, I need me a detox/One in the head, no safety, got to decock/I'm rockin' Louis V with peacock/Rollie, AP, Hublot, got three clocks."

Chicago rapper Valee is the latest addition the G.O.O.D. Music roster, and he released his EP, GOOD Job, You Found Me, today. The song that seems to be catching on early is "Skinny," a ChaseTheMoney-produced thumper. Valee brags all over the ominous beat. "I just paid 2,000 for some Cristian Lou', not knockoff/Waitin' on plug to pull up with that Actavis, not knockoff," he flexes. "Better not pull up with that fuckin' Hi-Tech shit, not at all/I just pushed up in some new designer shit, not from the mall."

A$AP Ferg just kicked off his Mad Man Tour, and to celebrate the moment, he dropped a collab with his tour mates Idk and Denzel Curry. The song, "Kristi Yamagucci," features all three artists fitting together perfectly, rapping like they've been at it for years. Ferg opens the song, listing all of the success he's tasted this year. "Plain Jane" the song of the year, I'm busy just chasin' the lettuce," he spits. "I'm a Calvin Klein model on billboards, I did a campaign with the fellas/Adidas done gave me another deal and Hennessy too, they got cheddar."

Gucci Mane never takes a day off. He just dropped a new single titled "Solitaire," collaborating with Quality Control Music stars Migos and Lil Yachty. The short song features quality verses from everyone, but Wop might have stolen the show. "Lookin' at the robbers like, 'Y'all ain't finna take shit'/Glacier Boy, amazin' shit, yeah jeweler ain't up on this he brags. "Crazy diamond bracelet, I'm jealous of my own wrist/If you ain't spend a million yet, you probably won't agree with this."
