BTS Win at 2017 Teen Choice Awards, But Barely Get a Mention
BTS is definitely taking no Ls this year as another win in the books.
Nominated for “Choice International Artist” at the Teen Choice Awards 2017 on Sunday (August 13), the Korean boy band snagged the award with presenters Bella Thorne and DJ/producer Marshmello taking it on their behalf. This win just adds on to their list of accomplishments in 2017 after taking the crown as Billboard’s Top Social Artist at the Billboard Music Awards.
However, if there were any Ls taken and given, it would have to be how short the spotlight was given to the group. Actress Bella Thorne quickly mentioned Fifth Harmony’s fanclub, Harmonizers, and BTS for winning Choice Fandom and Choice International Artist respectively and moved on. Fans took it to social media to express their feelings on how the award seemed to be brushed off and rushed at the TCAs.
