Following the release of her debut album Invasion of Privacy, Cardi B confirmed her pregnancy during a performance on Saturday Night Live. While the birth of a child could put the career on hold for many soon-to-be mothers, Cardi B insists her career isn't over.

On Tuesday (April 10), the "Be Careful" rapper stopped by The Breakfast Club and discussed the doubt she has received when it comes to continuing her career while pregnant. "I'm pregnant, but I have a game plan," she said. "I just wanted to show people—not the critics—mostly people around me, ya gon' have a job still."

Cardi is also aware of people saying she has to choose between a baby and a career, but the "Bodak Yellow" rapper doesn't see it that way. "Why can't I have both?" she asked. "Like as a woman, why can't I have both? Why do I got to choose a career or a baby? I want both."

While Cardi may still be young, the 25-year-old believes having a baby now is a good time for her. "I don't want to wait until I'm 30-something to have a kid," she said. "I want my kid now. I want my kid now that I have energy."

She also addressed whether she considered keeping the child or not. “Kinda, sorta,” she explained. “No, I didn’t want to deal with the whole abortion thing. I didn’t want to. You know what? I’m a grown woman. I’m 25 years old. I’m gonna say this in the most humblest way. I’m a shmillionaire. I’m prepared for this.”

Up next for Cardi, the rapper will show just how hard of a worker she is when she performs at Coachella over the weekend. The "Bartier Cardi" artist is scheduled to perform on Sunday, April 15 and Sunday, April 22.
