Chris Brown’s ‘Heartbreak on a Full Moon’ Album Goes Platinum

Despite some previous criticism for the length of his project, Chris Brown's Heartbreak on a Full Moon album is now officially certified platinum. According to the Recording Industry Association of America, the "Questions" singer's studio LP officially earned the major feat on Jan. 18.

HOAFM has now moved 1 million units, which comes a little over three months following its Oct. 31, 2017 release. On Monday (Feb. 12), Breezy posted the news of his platinum certification to Twitter, sending a bold message to haters who have had negative comments to make about him and the project.

"SAY WHAT U WANT... really wouldn’t matter at this point," he wrote. "GREATNESS DEFENDS AND SPEAKS FOR ITSELF."

Brown's eighth solo studio album originally reached gold status just a week following its release on Nov. 8, 2017. At the time, it was deemed the "fastest album by a male singer to receive a gold certification by RIAA in 2017."

If you recall, the project's release was first met with confusion from Chris after finding out the album would only have three days to chart following it's mid-week drop date on Halloween. It went on to debut at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, proving that the three days of sales didn't hurt its numbers too badly.
