While DJ Khaled has built a monumental career for himself, his most proud accomplishment comes with his son, Asahd. The hip-hop entrepreneur is naming his forthcoming Father of Asahd album in honor of his 1-year-old, and now he's showing us the meaning behind the project in a new visual open letter.

The new post from Khaled displays home video footage of Asahd over the last year, including his first birthday party at LIV in Miami, as well as his multiple television appearances by his father's side. Narrating the set of visuals with his letter to his first child, Khaled explains how he wakes up every day to say "I love you" to his Asahd in the sweetest way.

“Every morning I tell Asahd, ‘I love you. I got you,'" he states. “But the truth is, he’s got me.”

There's no question that the adorable Asahd has changed Khaled's life over the last year for the better. Not only has he included his son in his work by naming him as his last album and his forthcoming album's executive producer, but he's even faced his fear of flying on planes after years of avoiding doing so.

Khaled is gearing up for his Father of Asahd album, and he recently released the lead single for the project, "Top Off," which features Jay-Z, Beyoncé and Future.
