Perhaps Donald Trump's latest real estate project is scratching the skies, but his relationship with NBC has just been totally leveled. Hope you were wearing a hard hat, good sir.

Trump, who announced his candidacy for the office of President of the United States earlier this month, drew fire when his correlating speech accused many Mexican immigrants of being criminals ("They're bringing drugs, they're bringing crime. They're rapists," he said).

Univision, which had previously aired Trump's Miss Universe pageant, jumped to announce they'd no longer run the contest, and, today, NBCUniversal announced it was cutting ties with the former Apprentice host completely. In other words: Things are not looking up for The Donald.

"Due to the recent derogatory statements by Donald Trump regarding immigrants, NBCUniversal is ending its business relationship with Mr. Trump," the company said in a statement after more than 200,000 signed a Change.org petition calling on the network to dump Trump.

And while an open letter penned by Guillermo Castaneda Jr. proved to be incredibly instrumental in the real estate magnate's firing, singer Becky G took a different approach to protest Trump's employment by releasing a pointed song called "We Are Mexico." "This is for you Donald Trump," she captioned the video below, and later tweeted her support for the rightfully enraged Latino community.

"I did this for everyone who came to this country for a better life," she wrote.
