Fabolous was honored by the city that raised him - Brooklyn, N.Y. On the 20th anniversary of The Notorious B.I.G.’s death (March 9), Fabo received a key to Brooklyn during an “Icon Talks” ceremony.

The event was held at the Grand Courtroom in Borough Hall, reports The Source. F-A-B-O was there to chat with Icon Talks founder John Burns about life and how he remains successful in his business and philanthropic endeavors.

In attendance at the event was fellow rhymers Doug E. Fresh, Wale, Mysonne and Rotimi, along with DJ Clue, Roc Nation executive Lenny “Kodak Lens” Santiago, Ryan Leslie, Tahiry, DJ Self, L. Londell McMillan, Esq., Chad B and Rob Markman of Genius.

The night before, Fab was saluted at an Icon Talks dinner, which was attended by Swizz Beatz who gave him a toast at the event.

“Congratulations to my brother Fab for being the secret weapon,” said Swizzy in the video above. “I call him the secret weapon. He’s the secret weapon for fashion, the secret weapon for music, the secret weapon for creativity, he’s the secret weapon behind a lot of artists doing what they do today.”
