Helping Kids Through The Salvation Army
It doesn’t matter what professional football team you affiliate yourself with. This weekend you can help needy kids in the tristates with the Dubuqueland Chicago Bears Fanclub.
This Sunday (11/23) you can join the club at Kalmes Breaktime Bar & Grill at 1097 Jackson Street for the noon kickoff of the Bears/Buccaneers game. (It’s a noon kickoff!)
When you stop by, make sure you bring a toy to donate for their 15th annual toy drive for the Salvation Army. You could also make a cash donation.
According to Jim, over the last 15 years the club has seen firsthand the need for toys for the less fortunate in Dubuque.
The club is also holding a steak dinner fundraiser on Sunday, December 7th from noon to 6pm at Kalmes Breaktime. Dinner includes a delicious ribeye, baked potato, corn or green beans, coleslaw, dinner role and dessert.
Tickets are $18 each or two for $30. A portion of ticket sales, 10% of beverage sales and all tips will be donated to the Make-A-Wish foundation, another group the Dubuqueland Bears Fanclub also fundraises for.
For more information on the club or any of the upcoming events, call Kalmes Breaktime at 563-582-8566.
Help kids, eat great food and watch football. It’s a win… win… win!
