Helping Local Groups With Resources Unite

Josh from Resources Unite called me a few weeks ago and immediately had my attention when he said the word "burger."

That's right, their 2nd annual "Burger Night" is coming up this Thursday (1/21) evening at the Asbury Eagles Club from 5 to 8pm.

Plan on bringing your families.  Not only is this a great meal, but the money raised will help the Dubuque Community YMCA/YWCA's 'Reach and Rise' mentoring program.

Did you know there are currently over 250 kids locally waiting for a mentor locally?  This is a great way to give back to our community in a positive manner.

Jennie said some of the mentors and mentees will be working the burger night so you can ask questions, and she'll have more info there if you'd like to sign up.

Also, Pinnacle Cellular and Satellite are donating an additional dollar for every burger sold (up to $500) to the 'Reach and Rise' program.

Everyone that buys a burger is also eligible to win a 'pizza for a year' package, kindly donated by the gang at Papa John's Pizza!
