The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 home video release is imminent, and, naturally, because this is a James Gunn movie and a Marvel movie, there will be a bunch of fun bonus features to entice you to purchase it. One of these, Gunn himself announced today, is a music video for “Guardians Inferno,” the disco-inspired track that plays over the movie’s end credits and features a performance by none other than David Hasselhoff.

If you haven’t seen the movie, we promise this isn‘t a totally random, out-of-the-blue occurrence, but this does get a teeny bit spoiler-y, so be warned. There’s a running gag in the movie about how Peter Quill, a.k.a. Star Lord (a.k.a. Chris Pratt), never had a father figure in his life as a kid, and at one point told everyone at school that his dad was David Hasselhoff, which prompts Kurt Russell’s Ego to transform himself into David Hasselhoff when he’s trying to tempt Peter over to his side, which then leads into Hasselhoff, naturally, performing a disco number over the credits (which also include the cast, in costume, showing off their best dance moves).

Gunn announced the music video on social media today:

If you look closely, that’s actually the rest of the cast standing behind Hasselhoff in the poster: (from left to right) Karen Gillan, Chris Pratt, Pom Klementieff, Sean Gunn, maybe Vin Diesel?, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, and Michael Rooker in their ’70s best. And the song is fantastic too. You know what? Just stop reading this for a sec and listen to it right now:

There. Did you enjoy that? That’s correct, you did.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will be available on digital August 8 and on Blu-ray and DVD August 22.
