Liam Payne is going hard for his solo debut after he and the members of One Direction have disbanded. Now the British singer is back with a new record featuring Quavo of Migos. On the new song, "Strip That Down," Liam woos a girl with his vocals before the Atlanta rapper comes in with a catchy verse.

The track, reportedly co-written by Ed Sheeran and Steve Mac, finds Liam even addressing his split from the sensational boy band that broke up a couple of years back.

“You know I used to be in 1D (now I’m out free)/People want me for one thing (That’s not me)," Payne sings on the track.

"She gon' strip it down for a thug, yeah (strip it down)/Word around town, she got the buzz, yeah (word)," Quavo raps.

During an interview with Tim Westwood earlier this month, Quavo spoke about working with the singer on the new record, even though he wasn't supposed to reveal any details on it at the time.

“Me and my boy, Liam, from One Direction, we just shot that. Crazy visuals. Crazy team. Cool guy. Nice guy. It’s going up. I wasn’t even supposed to say that. It’s gonna be a surprise though," Quavo said.

This isn't the first former One Direction member to head into hip-hop territory. Malik has teamed up with multiple hip-hop stars in the past on tracks, including PartyNextDoor for their song "Still Got Time."
