Another instance of sexual harassment in the entertainment industry is getting the attention it deserves. Nickelodeon has officially parted ways with The Loud House creator Chris Savino after multiple allegations of sexual harassment over the last decade.

Savino had previously been placed on suspension after at least twelve women came forward with accusations of sexual harassment in recent years, including threats of blacklisting after relationships had ended (via Cartoon Brew). Nickelodeon confirmed Savino’s exit, specifying that his departure wouldn’t impact production of The Loud House itself:

Chris Savino is no longer working with Nickelodeon. We take allegations of misconduct very seriously, and we are committed to fostering a safe and professional workplace environment that is free of harassment or other kinds of inappropriate conduct.

The Loud House, which is currently in its second season, will continue to air on Nickelodeon and be in production. Season three is scheduled to premiere in early 2018.

For those unaware, The Loud House premiered in May 2016 as the story of an eleven-year old boy working to survive in a house with ten sisters. Savino previously worked on Rocko’s Modern Life and The Powerpuff Girls, while his ouster also triggered an internal memo from Nickelodeon Group president Cyma Zarghami citing their “commitment to fostering a safe and professional workplace environment” (via Deadline).

In the meantime, new episodes of The Loud House will return in 2018.
