My thanks to Amanda Garber for stopping by to fill us in on the ‘Out of the Darkness’ community walk this Saturday.  If you missed any of the details you can find them all here.

With the death of actor Robin Williams still fresh in our minds, it’s a real reminder that suicide affects people from all walks of life.

‘Out of the Darkness’ is a national organization that is trying to push more research for mental health issues.  Money raised from this weekend’s walk will help fund research and help for people who really need it.

This Saturday (10/25) you can participate in the ‘Out of the Darkness’ community walk with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.  It will happen at the Ponds Bergfeld Recreation area off Chavenelle Road by Medline.  Registration and check in start at 8am and the walk begins at 9am along the walking trail.

The walk should take about thirty minutes.  There will also be some guest speakers and a special way to remember lost loved ones.

To donate you can visit the organizations OFFICIAL WEBSITE.  There you’ll also learn more about what the organization is doing around the nation.

You can also call Teresa Shepard for more info at 563-542-8378.

Walk.  Volunteer.  Donate.
