Radiohead's breakthrough hit "Creep" has been repurposed as "Tweet," a song parody whose lyrics take aim at the administration of President Donald Trump.

The song and video, which you can stream above, are the work of a group calling itself Hateiohead, "a collective of creative citizens who are saddened and embarrassed by the idiocy of our current government and its moronic leader." Those sentiments are expressed through a variety of anti-Trump lines set to the "Creep" arrangement and melody, including the chorus: "I will tweet / I’ll distract you / Don’t you see what I’m doing here / Obama’s not born here."

Posted to YouTube on June 29, the clip has gathered roughly 65,000 views as of this writing, but a flurry of recent news reports surrounding the song seems likely to quickly increase that total — and given Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke's publicly expressed feelings regarding Trump's politics and public conduct, the band seems unlikely to discourage Hateiohead's work.

As Billboard noted after the November election, Yorke was among the music industry figures who lamented Trump's victory, tweeting lines from Radiohead's "Burn the Witch" and a grim election postmortem from the New Yorker. He was far more pointed after Trump announced his intention to withdraw the United States from the Paris climate accord in June, calling him a "f---ing clown."

Radiohead recently wrapped a round of U.S. tour dates promoting their recent A Moon Shaped Pool LP and surrounding the release of a 20th anniversary edition of their classic OK Computer album. Yorke and guitarist Jonny Greenwood are scheduled to perform as a duo later this month at the Sferisterio Stadium in Macerata, Italy.
