Next Wednesday and Thursday (11/5 and 11/6), Y105 will be hosting our 13th annual radiothon event to benefit the University of Iowa Children's Hospital and the Children's Miracle Network.

When we did our first event back in 2002, I felt so good doing something great for a pair of organizations I really believe in.  I always say it's the two days of the year we feel like we really make a difference for the community.

Over the last twelve years we've heard some amazing stories from inspirational families.  Many stories have uplifting endings, a few end tragically.  While many of us have never had to visit the University of Iowa Children's Hospital, a lot have.  We all know that family.  The people that got that call on a random Tuesday that something was wrong.  The day that started an unexpected journey.

While we have many people line up to answer phones, pick up food and corral children visiting the studios, we are still looking for families that may have had an experience they'd like to share.

No matter how big or small your visit was, we'd love to hear from you.  We're trying to tell our listeners who've never had to make the journey how important these two organizations are.  The way we do that is by sharing stories of how the hospital and CMN have affected your life.

If you're interested in sharing, CLICK THIS LINK and fill out some info so we can get in touch with you.  If you'd like to volunteer or find other ways to help, feel free to call me anytime and I'll put you in touch with someone who can tell you how.  My number is 563-542-9939 and my email is chris.farber@townsquaremedia.com!

If you've never heard the radiothon before, I hope you tune in.  If you have, I thank you for your continued support.
