Spending Time With Cousins

It was a busy weekend.  We caught a Dubuque Fighting Saints game and took a quick drive to Cedar Rapids to see some family.

My brother Joe and his wife Katie just got back from New Orleans and had to stop to pick up their kids at his in-laws house, so he called to suggest we meet for a bit in Cedar Rapids before they went back up to the twin cities.

We stopped by Lindale Mall to meet.  My dad was there and my sister Carolyn also drove over so we could meet for a bit.

Jacob got to see his cousins Lucas and Lucia so he was so excited.  Even though they only see each other every couple of months, they pick up right where they left off and the giggles start almost immediately.

After the mall and lunch, we went over to a local park so the kids could run and play.  It was non-stop.  I know Jacob had a good time because he fell asleep in the car as soon as we started back up to Dubuque.

It was a good day.
