Earlier this spring, T.I. and Kanye West joined forces on wax for the introspective single "Ye vs. the People." Now, it appears as though the hitmakers may have more collaborations in store as Tip gears up for the release of his forthcoming album.

During a recent sit-down with DJ Whoo Kid on July 21, the ATL lyricist shared new details on the unreleased project as well as how the loosie came to fruition. According to the Grand Hustle frontman, "Ye vs. the People" was the result of a lengthy conversation with Ye. "It was Ye's idea," T.I. candidly admits. "But, it came at the end of a four hour discussion."

Later in the interview, T.I. reveals that he initially contacted Yeezy in regards to contributing his signature production to his upcoming album. "I'm working on an album. So, I was tryna get a beat. I'm tryna work," he explained. "But, between the time I saw him and the time I was scheduled to go out there all that stuff happened. So, when I got out there I was like 'I kinda gotta talk to you.'"

"And, at the end of the conversation we did the song," T.I. added.

Following the song's release, Yeezy shared footage from his recording session with Tip which also featured guest appearances from producers Pi'erre Bourne and Mike Dean. In the short clip, Ye is seen addressing his support for Donald Trump as well as his decision to wear a "Make America Great Again" cap.

While T.I. is playing mum regarding more details on his new project, we're pretty sure the rap vet has some heat in store.
