Now that he’s off that Scarface remake (which has about as much luck keeping a director around as Channing Tatum’s Gambit movie), Antoine Fuqua has plenty of time to devote to more pressing matters…like The Equalizer 2. The sequel to 2014’s big screen reimagining of the classic TV series is still on track for a 2018 release, and Fuqua has officially found the next guy who will get on Denzel Washington’s bad side.

Variety reports that Narcos star and Game of Thrones fave (sob!) Pedro Pascal has signed on to play the primary antagonist — aka the dude who’s gonna get totally demolished by Denzel — in The Equalizer 2. Little is known about the sequel to Fuqua’s 2014 film, which starred Washington as Robert McCall, a former Special Ops agent who conveniently spends his retirement working in a home improvement store surrounded by an assortment of heavy and / or sharp tools, and is fond of reading literary classics that double as metaphors for his own life experiences.

Washington will reprise his role for the sequel, which is set to hit theaters on September 14, 2018.

In addition to his starring role on Narcos, Pascal is one of a handful of new faces — along with Channing Tatum and Jeff Bridges — appearing in next month’s Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
