Upcoming Events With The Girl Scouts

There are a couple of cool events coming up with the Girl Scouts that you should definitely check out.

My thanks to Jayme Ironside, the Development Manager for the Girls Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois, for stopping in to fill us in.

As you can see in the photo above, Jayme knows how to get into the studio to plug her stuff.  (She's always nice enough to bring me a box of Peanut Butter Patties.)

Next Saturday, May 2nd, they're holding a family fun day at Camp Little Cloud.  If you've never been there, the address is 21700 Girl Scout Road, Epworth, Iowa, 52045.

You can stop out and see many of the activities that make the camp a fun place to visit.  It's just $2 per person and includes a lunch and pony rides!

On Saturday, June 6th, the Girl Scouts will be holding their 2nd annual One Tough Cookie race at Camp Conestoga in New Liberty, Iowa.  If you love mudder events, this 3-mile mud and obstacle run will be right up your alley.  It's for men and women aged 14 or older.  If you'd like more details, visit the ONE TOUGH COOKIE WEBSITE, or call 800-798-0833.
