This morning, filling in for Chris Farber on the Y105 Wake Up, I mentioned how practical it would be to have a vending machine that accepts credit cards. Our studios are in Asbury and, for those of you who haven't experienced Asbury water, you do whatever you can to avoid drinking it.

Asbury water's taste can be recreated by taking Dubuque water and letting it sit in a well for 10 years while washing your clothes in it.

I digress, I've found on too many occasions I'm in need of a bottle of water but don't have any cash or enough change to purchase a bottle from the vending machine.

Sure, I could've remembered to bring enough water with me from home but 1. I'm forgetful (I blame my college days) and 2. I'm lazy and even if I wasn't, see #1.

The solution: a vending machine that accepts credit cards!

I would've purchased no fewer than $20 in water bottles in the past year (a low estimate) if we had a vending machine that can accommodate the needs of people living in the 21st century.

I could debate whether the vending machines are the real problem here, but that's for another blog post.
