Super Bowl 51 ended in heartbreak for the Atlanta Falcons and their fans as the New England Patriots overcame a 25 point deficit to win in overtime. Rappers, celebrities and thousands of others flocked to Houston for the game, with 21 Savage as well on hand to root for his hometown team. 21 had told XXL prior that he was pulling for the birds, saying, of his rooting interest, "Atlanta 'cause I'm from Atlanta lol."

To the rapper's credit, he didn't seem too bothered following the loss, as 21 appeared on camera during a live broadcast for a Canadian television station. The camera zooms in on the rapper and others leaving Houston's NRG Stadium, the group all smiles as they approach. 21 eventually walks up to the camera, though what he says can't be heard over the reporter talking.

21 hasn't commented on the clip or clarified what he was saying, though he did retweet it Sunday night. As for how others are taking the loss, fellow ATLien T.I. said afterward, "You gotta lose the same way you win, like a motherfucking G, man."

While a Falcons win would have been big for the city of Atlanta, 21 is still poised to take 2017, his Savage Mode 2 mixtape with Metro Boomin expected this year and on XXL's list of the most highly anticipated projects.
