Ariana Grande, Justin Timberlake to Perform at Charlottesville Unity Concert
Ariana Grande showed Manchester, England love with a benefit concert back in June, and now she, Justin Timberlake, Pharrell Williams and more will be doing the same for Charlottesville after a white supremacist rally that amounted to violent clashes with counter-protestors rocked the area.
"A Concert for Charlottesville" will take place at the University of Virginia's Scott Stadium on September 24. It will not only be a night filled with fun and great music, but it will also raise for victims of the tragic events in the city on August 11 and August 12, their familes, first responders and organizations that advocate for peace, unity and social justice.
Other performers include Chris Stapleton, The Roots, Cage the Elephant, Brittany Howard of the Alabama Shakes and Charlottesville's own Dave Matthews Band.
Tickets are free for Greater Charlottesville residents as well as UVA students, faculty and staff via online request, starting today (September 6) through September 11. There will also be a limited number of free tickets at the John Paul Jones Arena box office starting September 15 at 10AM EST.
