Ariana Grande asked Kylie Jenner if she could sample her "Rise and Shine" lullaby in a song.

To give you a little recap, a clip of the Kylie Cosmetics mogul singing "rise and shine" to her daughter Stormi Webster during a recent office tour YouTube video went viral this week. The clip quickly inspired multiple memes across social media, including remixes, covers and even alarm clock sounds.

This prompted Grande to record her own version of the moment, so on Wednesday night (October 16), shortly after a Sweetener show at London's O2 Arena, the pop star posted an Instagram Story of herself singing Jenner's instantly iconic verse.

"@kyliejenner can I sample," she wrote.

It didn't take long for Jenner to respond and give Grande permission to sample the line. However, she does have one very fair condition. “Yes, yes you can @arianagrande. As long as I’m in [the] music video,” Jenner wrote as she reposted Grande’s cover.

It wouldn't be the first time Grande has sampled music from other artists. She used Rodgers and Hammerstein's "My Favorite Things" for "7 Rings" and *NSYNC's "It Makes Me Ill" for "Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored."

Meanwhile, Jenner has taken full advantage of her newfound catchphrase. Not only did she change her Instagram bio to include the line, but she also used it to promote new merch.

It's unclear how serious Grande is about the sample, but we wouldn't be surprised if she drops a new song in the next couple of months. If so, get ready for "Rise and Shine" featuring Kylie Jenner to break the internet again.
