The calendar year may be coming to a close, but Chance The Rapper continues to stack the achievements and milestones, performing in Washington D.C. for the White House Christmas tree lighting Thursday night (Dec. 1). As seen in the above video, Chance performs his Surf cut "Sunday Candy" with Sasha Obama singing along below.

"Just performed for the @POTUS in DC, Headed back home for a very special @OpenMikeChicago this Monday!!!," Chance wrote on Twitter afterward. The performance marks at least the third time this year he's been invited to the White House after discussing criminal justice reform and the My Brother’s Keeper initiative in April, and attending President Obama's final state dinner at the White House in October.

Kelly Clarkson and Yolanda Williams performed at the tree lighting ceremony as well with all joining President Obama in singing "Jingle Bells" below. Keep an eye on Chance, who acts out the songs lyrics in true holiday spirit.  It's clear the entire Obama family has a soft spot for Chance, the rapper telling GQ, "Malia listens to Coloring Book. And I send them stuff sometimes. I haven’t seen Malia since I was a kid. I think they were both in school the day that I went up there recently, but Barack was talking about it. Or, uh, President Obama was talking about it.”

Watch Chance get in the holiday spirit.
