Colin Kaepernick's lawyer is speaking out against Jay-Z's new partnership with the NFL.

In an interview with ABC News published on Monday (Aug. 19), Kaepernick's lawyer Mark Geragos called into to talk about his stance on Hov's controversial deal with the NFL, which puts him and Roc Nation in charge of all entertainment aspects of the Super Bowl and more. Geragos thinks the Brooklyn rapper had already wrapped up the "cold-blooded" deal prior to reaching out to Kaepernick about it.

"This deal between Jay-Z and the NFL crosses the intellectual picket line," Geragos said. "I can confirm to you that the deal was already done prior to any conversation that [Kaepernick] had with Jay-Z and he certainly didn’t have any conversations with the NFL."

Hov's partnership with the NFL has made a lot of people very mad. While some rappers like Freddie Gibbs and Cardi B have come out in support of Jay-Z's role in the league, other artists and NFL players like Miami Dolphins' wide receiver Kenny Stills and Carolina Panthers Safety Eric Reid have called out the veteran MC for his involvement. Kaepernick hasn't directly addressed Hov, but he did appear to allude to the rapper's comments about kneeling in an Instagram post from a few days ago.

"My Brothers @e_reid35 @kstills @ithinkisee12 continue to fight for the people, even in the face of death threats," Kaepernick wrote in an Instagram post earlier this week. "They have never moved past the people and continue to put their beliefs into action. Stay strong Brothers!!! ✊🏾"

Hov has not yet publicly responded to Geragos' comment.
