Hip-hop artists have been doing their part in encouraging American citizens to vote for over a decade, and 2018's heated midterm elections are no exception. According to the Daily Mail, artists like Diddy, Fat Joe, Quavo, and DJ Khaled made the trek to Florida's capital last night (Nov. 5) to support Tallahassee's mayor and candidate for Governor Andrew Gillum on his final rally before Election Day.

The Bring It Home rally went down at Florida A&M University's Lawson Center and featured a slew of established artists and celebrities, who came to support Gillum as he closed out the final night of his campaign before the polls open. DJ Khaled and his We The Best squad opened up the show, and even brought comedienne and actress Tiffany Haddish to do his "Wild Thoughts" shuffle. Later on, artists Fat Joe and Monica hit the stage to perform before Diddy made his grand entrance.

Puff Daddy proudly rocked a red and black version of his iconic Vote Or Die! apparel as he performed at the rally. He also had the honor of introducing Mayor Gillum and bringing him on stage to address every Florida voter at the rally, and at home.

The midterms elections have been a hot topic around the country as well as the music industry. Artists like Meek Mill, Travis Scott, Lil Yachty and more have not only endorsed their own candidates, but also stressed the importance of voting for every election. They're also making their voices heard with legal action as well. During President Trump's campaign run for his favored Republican candidates, artists like Rihanna and Pharrell have sent cease-and-desist letters to the Trump administration to prevent them from playing their music at any MAGA events or rallies indefinitely.
