It's been nearly three weeks since the passing of Diddy's ex-girlfriend Kim Porter, a model-actress whose death shook up the music industry.  Earlier today (Dec. 3), the Bad Boy Records founder uploaded a video of himself reflecting on his new reality as a single father as he's taking his 11-year-old twin daughters, Jessie James Combs and D'Lila Star Combs to school.

In the video, Diddy, who adopted Porter's son Quincy Brown before having three children with Porter during the course of their relationship (Christian Combs, Jessie James and D'Lila), speaks a on the way he's had to adopt the roles of both mother and father to his children.

"Today the journey begins, thank y'all for all your support. I'm not a part of the 6 a.m. crew," begins Diddy, who delivered moving eulogy to Kim Porter just over a week ago. "This is mommy/daddy, daddy/mommy checking in. This daddy-mommy thing is beautiful. Love it. You just have to get up early in the morning. Like real early. Real early. You don't hear me say daddy-mommy. All my single mothers, they know what that is. Even some single fathers, gotta step up and play both roles—the mothers do it all the time."

At different points of the video, you can see special messages dedicated to Porter, whom Diddy cites as having prepared him for this role. "New day. New Life new RESPONSIBILITIES," Diddy wrote in the post. "KIM I GOT THIS. Just like you taught me."
