Dubuque Area Radio Road Report June 1, 2021

On US 20 Near North Cascade Road expect intermittent lane closures and travel restrictions through the end of September.

Wisconsin Highway 81 is closed between US 61 and Ridge Avenue near Platteville. Platteville. Work is expected to be completed in November.

Wisconsin Highway 133 is detoured between Cassville and Bloomington for construction through September 15th.

City Street and Lane Closures include:

  • Due to Bee Branch Project-related construction, W. 17th Street in Dubuque between Central Ave. and Iowa St. will be closed. The project includes underground utilities and the installation of stormwater trench drains across W. 17th St. near Heeb St. The estimated completion date is July 12. Motorists are asked to follow the posted detour.
  • As part of the US Highway 20 / Swiss Valley Interchange project currently under construction, the Iowa Department of Transportation has closed a segment of North Cascade Road between Royal Wood Drive and Swiss Valley Road.  There will be no posted detour.  Local access to properties along the road closure segment will be maintained. The segment of North Cascade Road between Royal Wood Drive and Swiss Valley Road will remain closed until the new relocated North Cascade Road construction and the new intersection with Swiss Valley Road is completed.
  • Swiss Valley Road is closed at its intersection with U.S. 20 as part of the U.S. 20/Swiss Valley Road exchange construction project.  Local access to properties along the closed portion of the road will be maintained.  The closure is expected to last until June 15.
  • Alpine Street between University Avenue and Carlotta Street will be closed for private utility work and pavement repair until Friday, June 4, at 5:00 PM.
  • The westbound lane of Kelly Lane will be closed at Edwards Road for utility pole replacement until about 5:00 PM today, June 1.  Two-way traffic will be maintained by flagging operations.  Motorists should use caution in the area of temporary traffic control.
