Future’s Self-Titled Album Goes Gold

Future has been having a spectacular year on the charts this year, and while he's creeping his way up the Billboard Hot 100 with his "Mask Off" single, he just earned himself another big milestone. According to the RIAA, the "Commas" rapper has earned himself another plaque, as his self-titled Future album from February of this year has officially reached gold status.

According to the RIAA's official website, Hendrix's project reached gold certification on April 25, 2017, making it the Atlanta native's fifth RIAA album award to date. On top of the album going gold, the project's single "Draco" has also reached gold status as of the same date. This is the eighth RIAA plaque he's earned in the month of April this year alone.

Epic Records tweeted about the major milestone for Future, writing, "📀@1future has earned his FIFTH RIAA Album Award! #FUTURE is now Gold!📀 #beEPIC 💛 @RIAA."

Future has had a packed year following the back-to-back release of his two albums, as the rapper is currently on the road for his Nobody's Safe Tour with Young Thug, Migos, Tory Lanez and A$AP Ferg. He's also been hitting the festival circuit, having already tore down the Rolling Loud stage this past weekend (May 6) in Miami.

Super recently released the visuals for his "Mask Off" single, which is his highest-charting single to date, reaching the No. 5 slot as of last week. Fans are hoping to see it hit the No. 1 spot, but we'll have to see how the rest of the month carries out.
