Opening Soon: Award-Winning Iowa Caterer Expands to Dubuque
Big news for Dubuque food lovers: Peppercorn Food Company is officially expanding into the Tri-State area. This award-winning catering group is set to open their new location sometime this April at 2400 Central Avenue in Dubuque. That's right, they are moving in and taking over the former home of the beloved Pusateri’s Restaurant.

According to a press release from the company, co-owners Jude Villafana and Carrie Quast have spent over 20 years crafting a catering experience that focuses on fresh, high-quality ingredients, elegant presentation, and personalized service. With operations already thriving in Cedar Rapids and Iowa City, this move into Dubuque brings even more delicious options to the Tri-States.

So, what can Dubuque expect? For starters, Peppercorn isn't your average caterer. They’re known for from-scratch cuisine and serving only USDA Prime Beef. Whether it’s a wedding, corporate gathering, or intimate dinner party, they bring some serious flavor and polish to the table; which could be YOUR table.
But that’s not all. Peppercorn is also launching a full charcuterie experience, led by expert Cheesemonger Liz Dueland. This includes hand-crafted charcuterie boards for catering and organized charcuterie boxes for gifts. It also includes hands-on classes that will teach you how to build and design your boards at home.
The first class, Make-Your-Own Charcuterie Board: Midwest Originals, happens Thursday, May 15 from 5:30 to 7 PM at the new Dubuque location. Guests will style their own 7” cheeseboard to take home and learn about four featured artisan cheeses from Wisconsin and Iowa. Tickets are $65 and spots are limited. Additionally, there is also a class in Cedar Rapids on April 25th.
The latest Dubuque kitchen joins Peppercorn’s growing list of locations, which includes Peppercorn at the Bank in Cedar Rapids, the Peppercorn Food Truck, in-house chef services, venue rentals, and community fundraiser programs.
With this expansion, Peppercorn Food Company is adding culinary convenience to Dubuque; while featuring elevated dining experiences, educational events, and a fresh take on how food brings people together.
