Last week, it was announced that Kwik Trip was expanding again with brand new stores in Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin.  While fans of that store were buzzing with excitement over the latest news, another chain in Wisconsin announced it is dimming its lights for good at 5 locations.

Popular Grocery Store Chain Just Announced 5 Wisconsin Locations Are Closing For Good

Every time it is announced that a store is closing, it is more than just doors being locked for good.  In the case of a grocery store closing, empty shelves leave a community wondering where they should go next for their kitchen essentials.  How much more of a commute do they now have to drive because they need to drive to a different store for groceries?  Besides that, additional gas and time being spent, how much more are the groceries going to be at this new location?  Not to mention, where are all of the past employees at the store now going to work?

Unfortunately, it was just shared on USA Today that a store affiliated with Kroger was closing 5 stores in Wisconsin.

Here's Where The Pick 'n Save Stores are Closing?

Pick 'n Save, whose parent company is Kroger, announced recently that 5 of its stores would be shuttering for good.  According to Fox 6 Now, a spokesperson for the company stated that these store closings are to help the company run more efficiently and help with the long-term health.  This announcement came about the same time as news hit that 60 Kroger stores were also closing in the next 18 months.
