Snoochie boochies! Right before the release of the sorta new movie Jay & Silent Bob Reboot, we got Jason Mewes to drop by Loudwire Studios and prove once and for all what’s true and false on Wikipedia.

Kevin Smith sold just about everything he owned to make Clerks, including his beloved comic book collection. Smith and Mewes had a lucky break though, after two cars they co-owned got destroyed.

“I remember there was going to be a flood,” Mewes recalled. “I said, ‘Hey man, you should bring that to the top of the hill.’ He’s like, ‘Dude, my house is elevated, it’s gonna be fine.’ He didn’t move it. Both cars got ruined in the flood and then the state was awarding money for each car lost in the storm. We got way more than we paid for both cars.”

In the late ‘90s, Mewes actually starred in a series of Nike commercials directed by Kevin Smith. “I was super stoked. I really thought it was gonna be put all over the place,” Mewes told us. “I really thought, ‘I’m gonna be as big as Michael Jordan. I’m gonna have my own Nike sneakers!’”

One piece of fiction Mewes debunked was a Wiki entry claiming he was so messed up on drugs while filming Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back that he didn’t remember anything from the production. “That’s not true,” Mewes clarified. “I was a mess, hungover a lot, but I remember tons of stuff. I got to hang out with Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill… There are definitely foggy memories. I was sober [during production] but I would go out every night drinking. Sometimes I’d get home at three in the morning and I’d wake up at six in the morning to go shoot and I would fall asleep on the [stunt] mats.”
