Kid Cudi is about to go on an excellent adventure.

According to a Deadline report published on Thursday (June 13), the Kids See Ghosts rapper has signed on to star in Bill & Ted Face the Music, the threequel to the Bill & Ted cult franchise starring Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter.

Both Reeves and Winter will return to reprise their roles as Ted “Theodore” Logan and Bill S. Preston, respectively. As for Cudi, his role is being kept a secret but we are quite sure it’s going to be gnarly.

The time-traveling buddy comedy will center on a now middle-aged Bill and Ted, who embark on a new journey after a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save the earth and bring harmony to the universe. Joining them on their new adventure will be their daughters, old acquaintances and a bunch of historical figures and music legends.

Filmmaker Dean Parisot will direct Bill & Ted Face the Music from a screenplay penned by returning franchise writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon. There's no word on when the movie will go into production.

Bill & Ted Face the Music is expected to arrive in theaters on Aug. 21, 2020.
