Lil Yachty Gets Ready in Style for 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards Commercial

Lil Yachty might be having the most lucrative 2017 of any rapper in the game, and the Atlanta native is starring in yet another major brand commercial. Lil Boat was recruited by MTV to be the face of their latest commercial promoting the 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards in order to inspire people to get ready for the awards show this Sunday, May 7.

In the new commercial, the Sailing Team captain plays with some toy instruments in his home before receiving a call from his manager, Coach K, about getting ready for the televised event. Yachty then takes us through his process of pampering, which includes taking a lavish bubble bath, blow-drying his signature red hair, picking out a set of colorful grills and donning himself in his captain uniform. As he's rushing to make it down the stairs in time to catch his ride, Lil Boat stops to get himself painted by a professional in order to capture his fresh ensemble.

The awards show airs this Sunday, May 7 at 8 p.m. EST, and will feature Yachty, as well as performances by Big Sean and Noah Cyrus. The awards for the Hollywood event are based on picks from fans who can log onto MTV.com to cast their vote for their favorite movies, actors, shows and more.
