Those Rick and Morty Season 4 negotiations were bigger than we thought. Not only have creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon confirmed Season 4 is go at Adult Swim, but the title duo’s adventures could well take us through Season 10.

Roiland and Harmon announced as much over social media, with Roiland in particular confirming that Adult Swim has ordered 70 more episodes of the viral hit. It is unclear if those 70 episodes will be spread equally among seven seasons, even as the show tends to stick with 10-episode runs. Also not stated is when Season 4 will begin production for a possible late 2019 premiere, but check out the dual announcements anyway:

Last we heard, Harmon was hoping to up Season 4’s episode order from ten to fourteen, given their prior experience overcoming delays. At the very least, this year is set to bring us a series of Oni Press one-shot comics with some fan-favorite characters, while McDonald’s is enjoying another bout of Szechuan sauce promotion.

We may hear more when Turner holds its upfront presentation in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
