VH1 is gearing up to premiere their new music competition show, SIGNED, which will star Rick Ross, The-Dream and Lenny S. of Roc Nation. The three music heads have been recruited by the network to head to Atlanta and find rising, unsigned hip-hop talent and develop them into stars.

According to Billboard, the show's premise follows aspiring artists as they face a process that will include auditions, skill-honing workshops and challenges before they reach the finale performance. Artists will also get to have personal sessions with Rozay, The-Dream, and Lenny, as well as friends DJ Khaled, Meek Mill and Bangladesh. The artists that make it to the end will have the opportunity to be signed to Maybach Music Group, Radio Killa Records or Roc Nation.

SIGNED is being executive produced by Mark Burnett, president of MGM Television Group and Digital, and will feature eight one-hour-long episodes that will air each week. Executive VP, head of unscripted at MTV, VH1 and Logo Nina L. Diaz released a statement about the show, calling it a "fresh new take on a competition series."

“Three of the biggest bosses in music coupled with the raw talent of the contestants makes for a fresh new take on a competition series," Diaz said. "We can’t wait for fans to experience this authentic and compelling journey."

What's even more interesting about the show is that there won't be any official set, such as other music competition shows like American Idol and X-Factor have had. Rozay, Dream, and Lenny will be out in the streets of Atlanta and inside of recording studios to help find the best talent.

This is far from the first time that major hip-hop artists will be part of a VH1 series, as Lil Wayne reportedly signed on for his own reality show last year.

SIGNED will premiere on VH1 on July 26 at 9 p.m. EST/PST.
