Maren Morris surprised Taylor Swift fans in Dallas, Texas, with a special appearance at Swift's Reputation Tour show on Friday night (Oct. 5). Readers can press play above to watch the pair's performance, of Morris' hit song "The Middle."

"I hope you don't mind that I planned something special," Swift told her crowd before bringing Morris out onstage. "I get to bring out somebody who I am -- I think I can safely categorize myself as a superfan of this artist. I listen to [Morris' Hero album] over and over and over, and I can't wait to see what she does next."

Morris released "The Middle" with DJ and producer Zedd alongside electronic duo Grey in January, and the track quickly gained massive traction, hitting No. 1 on the Billboard Dance / Mix Show Airplay chart in a brisk four weeks. That feat made Morris the first country artist to top that chart.

"“Did we just become best friends?” Got to play my hometown stadium with this woman," Morris, a native Texan, shared on Instagram after the show. "Thank you @taylorswift. Congratulations on a mind-blowing tour."

Swift is clearly a fan of Morris' as well: On opening night of her Reputation Tour back in May, fans were tweeting that Swift's in-between-sets soundtrack included Morris' "My Church," as well as "Love in a Bar," a song by Morris' husband, Ryan Hurd.

Morris is currently working on her sophomore album. Swift's Dallas Reputation Tour stop was her final show in North America on the tour; she's next due to head to Australia.
