Wednesday June 19th

The Platteville Senior Center, in partnership with the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center, will host a Blood Drive from 11am till 2pm. All presenting donors will receive a voucher for a $10 gift card to Amazon.com, Casey’s, Dairy Queen or Dominos PIzza and entered into a $500 gift card drawing. Thursday June 20th

St. Donatus Luxembourg Heritage Society will sponsor the 27th Annual Luxembourg Buet held from 5pm till 8pm at Kalmes Restaurant in St. Donatus. For reservations, call (563) 773-2480. (The buffet includes wienerschnitzel, tripen, sausage, homemade noodles, potato pancakes, homemade bread, jams, desserts and more)

The Asbury Eagles Club is hosting Burger Night from 5pm till 8pm. Dinner is $8 for adults and $5 for kids ages 10 and under. Proceeds benet the Bell Tower Theatre.

Friday June 21st

The Colts Drum and Bugle Corps will debut their 2019 program in full uniform with a free performance at 7pm at the University of Dubuque’s Chalmers Field. Prior to the performance, a ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 5:00pm in the parking lot to celebrate the new Colts kitchen and equipment trailers.

Saturday June 22nd

Ski Bellevue, Bellevue’s own water ski show team performs will have a free performance at 4pm south of Lock 12 on Riverview Street in Bellevue. Come and see them perform acts such as pyramids, ballet line, ski ramp jumps and more. (More information at facebook.com/skibellevue).

Waterfowl Hunter's Youth Engagement Day sponsored by the Delta Waterfowl Duck Hunters Organization.  Held at the Izaak Walton League of Dubuque on Thunder Hills Road in Peosta from 10am till 2pm. Learn more about duck and goose hunting. Free picnic lunch and all activities are free including Trap Shooting, Demonstrations and Seminars. More info at 563-581-4016.

“Lunch on The Dairy Farm” will be held at Hingtgen Dairy Farm from 1pm till 4pm. . 30206 Bellevue-Cascade Road in Bellevue, Free admission and food with free tours of a family dairy farm with robotic milkers.

Thursday June 27th

3rd Annual Dubuque Sertoma Club "Kids Got Talent" competition.  Open to anyone age 5-17. $20 entry fee. Trophies for the top 3 finishers.  Pick up an application on line at sertomadbq.weebly.com or at Remax Realty on Pennsylvania and the Townsquare Media studios on Saratoga Road.

Saturday June 29th

The East Dubuque Lion’s Club is sponsoring the annual East Dubuque Independence Day Celebration at Dunleith Park starting at 4pm. This party in the park includes kid’s activities, free entry to the swimming pool, food and drink, and reworks at dusk. Someone will win a 2019 can am defender XT in the raffle. Contact any Lion member for raffle tickets and more information.

The annual Hazel Green Fire Department Dance will be held on Main Street in Hazel Green from 8:00pm to midnight. Music provided by 2nd Generation. Your $5 donation will go to new equipment and building maintenance.

Sunday June 30th

St. Peter's Parish in Temple Hill 47th Annual Pork B-B-Q from 3:30 till 7:30pm.  Silent Auction, Country Store, Food and Games for all.  Carryouts available.

Thursday July 4th

Annual Keiler Church dinner and picnic featuring Deep Fried Chicken and Ham from 11am till 4pm.  Bingo, refreshments and music.  Free parking.  Sponsored by Immaculate Conception Church. More info 563-542-0506.

Friday July 5th

The American Red Cross invites you to celebrate the 4th of July by saving lives! Make an appointment or stop in at 2400 Asbury Road from 9am till 2pm and donate blood. All presenting donors will receive a free exclusive t-shirt. Visit redcrossblood.org to schedule an appointment.

Saturday July 6th

The Stockton 5k/10k Run Walk will take place from 8am till 11am at the Stockton Memorial Park. Register at the Park House. Everyone who participates will have free access to the Stockton Pool after the race. Each division will be awarded 1st thru 3rd place medals. (email info@stocktonil.com for more information)

Guttenberg’s Stars and Stripes Independence Day Celebration will be held in Ingleside Park. Join them for a morning 5K at 7:00am. The afternoon and evening includes a bike rodeo, entertainment, music, food, activities, Bingo, inatables, a rock climbing wall, a parade and fireworks over the Mississippi River!

Sunday July 14th

The 27th Annual Julyfest will be held on the St. Joseph’s Church Parish Grounds in Farley. The event begins with a Polka Mass at 9:30am and a parade at 11:00am. Mollie B of RFD-TV performing with her dad’s band for the polka mass and in the tent after the mass. Chicken (by Far Fry) will be serving from 10:30am to 3:30 pm.

Friday July 19th

NO KID HUNGRY  will be hosting a fundraiser bake sale at the Holiday Inn, 450 Main Street, Dubuque, IA   52001 from 8am, til 2pm. “Simply for the Parkers” Fundraiser will be held 11am till 6pm at Offshore Event Center in Bellevue. Funds raised will help the family with expenses incurred due to the passing of their husband and father in an automobile accident. The event includes live and silent auctions, raes, a meal and music. (Oshore Event Center located at 4111 Riverview)

Saturday August 3rd

Muscular Dystrophy Association of Iowa holding the first-ever Iron Horse Classic Home Run Derby on August 3rd at the Field of Dreams. Participant entry is $35 and includes an event t-shirt, coaching from Ghost Players, and the opportunity to play on this famous field. Participants can register in one of the following divisions: Ages 9-13, Ages 14-18, Adults 18+, and Adaptive Hitting.  More info 319.393.8905

Benefit for Jeff "Ramon" White who is battling Pancreatic Cancer.  Lakeside Ballroom starting at 2pm. Live & Silent Auction, 50/50 raffle, and live music. Free Will donation for dinner.  If you'd like to donate an item call 880-0028

Saturday September 14th

Cancer Benefit Ride for Pat Tucker Sr. at the Dubuque County Fairgrounds beer garden.  Sign up at 10:30, ride starts at Noon.  Returns to fairgrounds at 3pm for music, Karoake, raffles and silent auction.  Pat is fighting Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.
