An artist who's open to change will likely prosper, which is an ideology Tyga has embraced when it comes to his rap career. More recently, the 27-year-old, who just dropped his new album, Bitch I'm the Shit 2, has made some adjustments to his music as a result of his time around one famous family: the Kardashians.

While dating Kylie Jenner, the youngest in the Kardashian-Jenner clan, Tyga couldn't escape paparazzi, gossip sites and the headlines just for being entrenched in the family's circle. The two are no longer dating—she's been linked to Travis Scott while he's been spotted with model Jordan Ozuna—but the experience has left a lasting effect on his music and how he approaches his lyrical content these days.

"Being around that family really I wouldn't say helped my brand, you know what I'm saying—business-wise or nothing like that—but I think it definitely put me in the light of more women, being seen that their fan base is more female-driven," Tyga tells XXL. "You know so it kinda like made me reevaluate my music and kinda like how I move and carry myself I think because I know more women are watching what I'm doing."

In comparison to the male fan base he's been catering to in hip-hop over the last 10 years, the exposure to the Kardashians' female-friendly fan base is a welcomed one. Tyga's still dropping the kind of songs his loyal supporters have come to expect, like his newly released Kanye West-assisted track "Feel Me," but he's also focused on switching things up a bit to please the ladies moving forward.

"Making more female-driven music, tapping into that emotion and kinda like speaking from a male's perspective on a lot of the situations that men go through with women and just that point of view of someone in my position, you know," he shares.
