Wale and Lil Wayne Connect for “Running Back”

Two of hip-hop's biggest sport fans link up for a new single. Wale and Lil Wayne connect for "Running Back," a fun record that finds the rappers spitting about spending large sums of money wisely.

"My chick is on Tumblr/Bitch, y'all need a tummy suck/Since Jesus and Nazareth/The realest you've come across/I be with killers just coming home/They only hope is me and the Quran/They only wish is for that new chain/But they stuck up in the ankle bracelet," Wale raps.

Lil Wayne closes out the song with a strong verse. "These girls want money stacks/I want a hundred stacks/These girls selling their soul/I want my money back/She bouncing like jumping jacks/But she got a funny back/Look what the booty shots under that/That girl need her money back/I like the finer things/She said I sent her a diamond ring/She say I buy her all kinds of things/She lie about everything," he delivers.

"Running Back" is slated to appear on the DMV rhymer’s upcoming album, S.H.I.N.E. (Still Here Ignoring Negative Energy). Recently, the two performed the new record on ESPN’s First Take.

Wale and Wayne were spotted shooting the video for “Running Back” last month. A short behind-the-scenes video from the shoot, which reportedly took place in Atlanta, was shared on social media.

The last single from the MMG spitta made headlines for dissing Tomi Lahren. On “Smile,” which dropped two weeks ago, Wale mispronounces Lahren’s name, calling her “Tami Lahren.”
