Despite Presidential Election Results, Wale Wants to See People Unite

There is plenty to be dismayed about given the current political climate in America, but Wale sees a silver lining through it all, telling TMZ that one positive from the new administration is that people are galvanizing in new ways. In the below video, Wale is leaving a West Hollywood restaurant when asked what needs to be done by the White House to better unite the country.

"I don't think they really interested in unity," Wale says. "I think right now, we need each other. If there’s any silver lining in this shit, it’s that people of all walks of life are coming together. And that shit makes me feel proud for humanity. We got a wild person in charge right now, but what I see happening is less hate amongst different creeds. The Muslims, the Jews, the gays, the transgenders, all people are just like ‘You know what? There’s a greater purpose. There’s a bigger enemy'... I see people coming together that don’t even fuck with each other."

If there was any doubt where Wale stands, the tweet below shows his daughter at the Women's March last month. Wale himself is looking to organize his own collective efforts with his new album S.H.I.N.E., due out later this year. Earlier this week, he dropped the video for "Running Back" with Lil Wayne, thus far one of two confirmed tracks on the album.
