Sunday night I came across something I've never seen before; makeshift galoshes. Some guy was posted up at the bar with bags over his shoes. His wife also had the protective plastic rigged up on her feet. Many people were staring at their feet and it certainly does look foolish. But they may have been the only people in the bar with dry socks.
