Labor Day weekend is almost here and you might be looking for something to do with your family.  Sunday (8/31) you can stop by the Ignite Dubuque Music Festival starting at 2pm.

Ignite Dubuque has a mission to see Dubuque be united with hope, passion and purpose with a love for Jesus.

Everyone is welcome to the event, which will be located at 1655 Rolling Hills Estates, just off the Northwest Arterial on JFK Road right across from Brimeyer Auto Body.  Parking and admission is free.

There will be some speakers you’ll enjoy and live music starting at 2pm.  David Botner from the New Orleans Mission will speak about his mission and how Hurricane Katrina affected them.

The headlining act is Danny Gokey from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  He’s a former church music director that finished in third place on season eight of American Idol.  He currently holds the number one spot on the Christian chart with ‘Hope In Front of Me.’  Danny will take the stage at 6pm with his choir to perform.

College students can grab a free meal by printing a free coupon from the IGNITE DUBUQUE WEBSITE or by showing the coupon on their phone with a college I.D. card.

Free entertainment for the whole family with a positive message… what’s not to like?

Check it out this weekend!
