The weather is about to change, so it’s time for Dupaco’s annual ‘Coats For Kids’ campaign.  If you missed it this morning, here are the details…

‘Coats For Kids’ has been going on for years.  Dupaco collects used coats, hats, mittens and scarves (that are children to adult size) from the community at all of their Dubuque locations.

The apparel is then cleaned by their partners at Courtesy Cleaners and later distributed by Operation New View on White Street during the last week of October.

As the seasons change, many of us put away our summer stuff and pull out the fall stuff.  As we do, sometimes we find clothing that no longer fits and stuff we don’t need or want anymore, making it a great time to donate to this cause.

If you don’t think there is a need for this program you are wrong.  Every year there is a line of people waiting before the doors open for distribution.  Over a thousand coats are given out each year.

Drop off is going on right now through October 22nd at any Dubuque Dupaco location.  Distribution this year will be on Wednesday, October 29th and Thursday, October 30th at St. John’s Lutheran Church on White Street.

For more information on ‘Coats For Kids,’ call Dupaco and ask for marketing at 563-557-7600.  You can also get more info on the DUPACO WEBSITE.

Lets keep everyone warm this winter!
