Garage Sale To Help Children’s Miracle Network

People love getting a great deal.  They also love to help a great cause!  What's better than doing both?  Nick and Sarah Ryan are kicking off their first-ever charity garage sale today and giving proceeds to the Children's Miracle Network.

I couldn't tell you the first time I met Nick and Sarah, it seems like forever-ago, but they have an amazing story.

At about 11 days old, their twins, Addison and Elliott got sick and were transported to the University of Iowa Children's Hospital.

Sadly, after a few emergency surgeries, Elliott passed away in his parents arms.

Since that day, Nick and Sarah have tirelessly spent time fundraising for various organizations, including the March of Dimes (through the now famous Team Elliott) and the Children's Miracle Network.

They are inspirational people.

That brings me to the madness they are creating over the next few days... their first ever charity garage sale.

Starting this morning, it will run through this Saturday (4/25).  After collecting items and sorting over the last few weeks, they are ready to give you great bargains in furniture, children's clothing and babies items.  (Some still have the tags on them.)

The hours for the sale will go from 9am to 7pm each day through Friday, then Saturday from 6 to 9am.

Items for the sale will still be accepted through Thursday, so if you have something you'd like to donate you can stop by, or pop over and make a cash donation.

The Ryan family lives in the Cedar Lake subdivision off Cedar Cross Road right up from the Olive Garden.  The address is 459 Tamarack Court.  (Watch for the signs on their fence, and East Dubuque Savings Bank is right across the street.)
